The Escalation Card
The Z-Z-Z Card says: stop. The Escalation Card says: what's next. This is a step-by-step guide for when a participant suspects fraud or has already fallen victim to it. Format: laminated A5, minimum 16pt, pictograms.
Path A: I have a suspicion, but I have NOT provided any personal information and have NOT transferred any money
Step 1: STOP
Cut off contact. Don't click. Don't install. Don't give out codes, passwords, or numbers.
Step 2: SECURE
Take a screenshot or write down on a piece of paper: the phone number, the message content, the date, and the time.
Step 3: REPORT
Suspicious text message: forward it to 8080 (the entire message). Suspicious website or email: incydent.cert.pl. Suspicious investment offer: check csirtknf.pl.
Step 4: VERIFY
Call back a number YOU ALREADY KNOW: from your bank card, a website you typed in manually, or a contract. Never call a number from a suspicious message.
Path B: I provided my information OR transferred money
Step 1: CONTACT YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY
Call the number on your bank card. Say: "I suspect I've been the victim of a scam." Ask them to block your card and online banking and to suspend any transactions.
Step 2: REPORT IT
Text: 8080. Website/email: incydent.cert.pl.
Step 3: POLICE
Call 112 or go to a police station. Take evidence with you.
Step 4: IF IT'S A SALES PRESENTATION OR AN OFF-PREMISES CONTRACT
Consumer hotline: 801 440 220 or 222 66 76 76. County consumer ombudsman. You have 14 days to cancel the contract.
Step 5: FAMILY ALERT
Tell a loved one.

During the workshop
Hand out materials in Phase 6 (tools). Discuss both paths. Ask participants to write down the numbers.
Conduct the exercise: "Let's send this text message together to 8080."
